Sky Sox postpone weekend baseball due to snow storm

Another round of spring snow brought the southern Colorado sports scene to a grinding halt this weekend, including the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

The Sky Sox postponed their Saturday game versus the Memphis Redbirds (first pitch planned for 4:05 p.m.) on Saturday morning as it was clear the snow wouldn’t be letting up any time soon.

Then, later Saturday evening, the Sky Sox decided to postpone their game planned for Sunday (first pitch planned for 1:35 p.m.).

As of Saturday evening the Sky Sox and Redbirds are slated to play a double-header on Monday, April 18th, beginning at 4:05 p.m. They will also make up a game during the Redbirds next trip to Colorado Springs in June.
