Everyone a winner at Leprechaun Fun Run
The annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade was not the only fun activity awaiting families in downtown Colorado Springs.
For the fitness inclined, Saturday also marked the annual Leprechaun Fun Run.
The race, which is geared towards kids, was well attended, with scores of families lining the starting line to watch their children beat feet down Tejon.
A few parents even participated with their kids.
The annual race features two heats; one half-mile and one full-mile through a closed course on Tejon Street.
NewsChannel 13 caught up with Tanner Ehmen, a kid who was feeling so lucky, he participated in both races.
“It just felt awesome,” reported Tanner, “I came in third place!”
Actually, there were no losers in the Leprechaun Fun Run. Each person that ran across the finish line was given a green ribbon at the end.
