Woman killed in I-25 crash identified

Colorado Springs Police have released the name of a woman who died in a crash on I-25 near Fontanero Street Sunday morning.

The single-vehicle crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-25 at 12:10 a.m. on February 14, 2016.

Police say Danielle Green-Cortez, 35, was not wearing a seat belt when she crashed her pickup truck into a guardrail. Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Two north-bound lanes of the interstate were shut down while police investigated the crash early Sunday.
