Las Vegas company to buy Cripple Creek casino

Full House Resorts says it will pay approximately $30 million for a casino on Bennett Ave. in Cripple Creek.

The sale of Bronco Billy’s is expected to be finalized in late 2015 or early 2016.

Bronco Billy’s, which is located in the 100 block of E. Bennett Ave., has 830 slot and video poker machines, 13 table games, a 24-room hotel, a steakhouse, four casual dining restaurants and an outdoor amphitheater. The facility was expanded in May 2015.

“We see potential for growth at Bronco Billy’s as the property benefits from a full year of its recently-completed expansion. Over the long term, there may be opportunities to develop the property’s excess surrounding acreage,” said Daniel R. Lee, President and CEO of Full House Resorts. “We expect that its management team will remain at the property and we look forward to welcoming them and all of the Bronco Billy’s employees to the Full House family,” Lee said.

Bronco Billy’s is one of 14 casinos in Cripple Creek, where gaming has been legal since 1991.

Amendment 50 also made limited stakes gambling legal in the mountain towns of Black Hawk and Central City.
