The Colorado State Patrol says two workers were injured, one seriously, in a crash involving a hand cart painting machine.

The crash happened on 1st Street in Alamosa at 10:03 a.m. on September 10, 2015.

State Patrol says the city workers were repainting the center stripe on 1st Street near Bell Ave. when a car driven by Francis Hull, 86, crashed into it.

James Lopez, 31, was thrown from the painting machine which was then hit by another car before landing on top of Lopez. He was seriously injured.

Another worker suffered minor injuries during the incident.
