DUI Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Colorado Spring Police arrest a 36-year-old man for drugs after a DUI stop.

It happened around 9:30 pm Saturday (09/05/15) night.

An officer pulled Manuel Ramirez-Franco over, for what the police call, fictitious license plates.

Police then suspect him of driving drunk.

After a search, officers say they found heroin and cocaine, both packaged for distribution.

Ramirez-Franco also had over $1,200 in cash on him. Police think the money came from selling drugs.

The street value of the drugs is just under $3,000.

Ramirez-Franco was arrested and charged with dealing drugs and driving under the influence.
