USAFA conducting emergency response exercise Wednesday

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is scheduled to conduct an emergency response exercise on Wed., Oct. 12, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The USAFA said during the exercise, people on or near the academy may see increased first responder activity, hear alarms, simulated gunfire and explosions, or see smoke from training devices. Brief delays to base traffic and routine services are also possible.

The academy said the exercise has been planned and coordinated with multiple first responder agencies, clinics, and hospitals throughout the region.
