Prayer ban lifted at Pine Creek High, lawsuit dropped

A Southern Colorado school district no longer has a ban on prayer or religious discussion during free time.

That ends a lawsuit filed by the Alliance Defending Freedom against Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs on behalf of a student.

The suit was filed last year when the student was told that he and others couldn’t meet to pray and discuss religious topics like they had in previous years during a period known as “seminar.”

While the school district removed “seminar,” it will allow students to gather in the cafeteria during lunch.
