Public meeting for Sunset Amphitheater happening tonight in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The company behind the upcoming Sunset Amphitheater in the Briargate area is holding a community meeting.

During Tuesday's meeting, which was pushed back from Aug. 17, officials are set to reveal more details about the upcoming venue.

According to Notes Live, the company behind the development of the 8,000-seat outdoor amphitheater, moving the meeting to Sept. allowed them to complete their parking and access management plan, which will provide more details to the public.

“Notes Live is committed to the Sunset Amphitheater being an asset that Colorado Springs values. Over recent months we have worked diligently in providing our plans to the City of Colorado Springs and also given strong consideration to the feedback we have received from the local community,” said Bob Mudd, Notes Live president and chief operating officer. “Access to the venue and the use of offsite parking have been consistent points of community feedback, which has been valuable to achieving our goal of presenting the best project possible.”

Notes Live said its team has been actively working on options to increase onsite parking.

The public meeting for Sunset Amphitheater in Colorado Springs happens Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Boot Barn Hall, located at 13701 Bass Pro Dr.
