Stabbing in Monument home
we’re piecing together the details on that stabbing in monument. the el paso county sheriff’s office says an 11-year-old boy stabbed his mom and then fell or jumped out of a window. it happened earlier tonight in a home on burning bush point. at’s near lewis-palmer high school, just east of i-25 in monument. krdo newschannel 13’s greg miller is there live… where the investigation is still underway tonight .. james and heather the sheriffs office and mobile crimes unit just obtained a search warrant to go inside the house. theyre also interviewing other family members to try to figure out what happened. officers first got to this unit on burning brush pointe around 5:30. theyre may have been some kind of altercation between the two when sheriffs tell us that boy, believed to be 11 or 12 years old, stabbed his mother, then went out of a third floor window. neighbors say they didnt hear much and only noticed something was wrong when they saw all the sheriffs cars. 56:42 In the 2 1/2 years this has been a fairly tame neighborhood.
