Annabelle Childers

KRDO

Annabelle Childers joined the KRDO team in June 2022 as a Multimedia Journalist. She graduated from Pepperdine University in April 2022 and is excited to trade in the Pacific Coast for the Rocky Mountains.

Annabelle grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas and if you catch her on the phone with her mom, you just might hear a Southern accent. As a kid, Annabelle took several trips to Colorado, and over the years she would tell her friends: “I would love to live in Colorado someday.” Well, would ya look at her now!

Journalistically, Annabelle loves telling stories in both broadcast and print forms. At Pepperdine, she won an Associated Collegiate Press “Story of the Year” award for her reflection on the Borderline Bar and Grill mass shooting. As Editor in chief of her college magazine, Annabelle’s “Global Citizenship” Edition won first place awards from the California College Media Association in the digital and print magazine categories.

When she’s off the clock, Annabelle enjoys writing music, playing the piano, hiking, baking, and reading. If you have any story ideas (or a good book recommendation), she would love to hear from you!
