Missouri slaying protested in Denver; 3 arrests
Protesters in Denver took to the streets for a second straight night following a grand jury’s decision not to indict a white Ferguson, Missouri, police officer in the fatal shooting of a black man.
Police say three people were arrested as groups of demonstrators marched in various downtown locations Tuesday night.
A crowd that was marching toward a bridge over Interstate 25 was ordered to disperse. Police say most followed the order, but a small group was pepper sprayed for refusing to leave.
A grand jury on Monday declined to indict 28-year-old police officer Darren Wilson in the Aug. 9 shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, a suburb of St. Louis. The decision has sparked protests across the country.
