The cold doesn’t stop Veterans Day celebration in Pueblo.

Despite a cold and snowy early morning, people in Pueblo honored their veterans.

A group of people went to the St. Mary’s School in the Eiler Heights neighborhood Tuesday morning.

Pigeons and doves were released in remembrance of America’s heroes and veterans raised the flag.

“When I was asked to do this for me being a World War II veteran I was greatly honored and God has given me a good life and I’m still glad that I served in the service,” Anthony Gettler said.

This is the first time the neighborhood has hosted this event.
