Fire breaks out late Thursday near I-25 and S. Academy
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Crews are battling a wildfire along the banks of Fountain Creek, near I-25 and S. Academy Blvd.
The fire is located between Forest Road on the west and Glenarm Rd. to the east in the Stratmoor Valley neighborhood.
The fire broke out just after 10:00pm Thursday night.

KRDO has a crew in the area, and we are working on getting more details on evacuations, acreage, and the fire’s cause.
As of 11:20pm, no evacuation orders has been issued, but the fire was slowly moving toward a mobile home park along Glenarm Road.
