High wind restrictions in effect for portions of I-25, Hwy. 24, Hwy. 94
EL PASO CO., Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has enacted high wind restrictions for portions of Interstate 25 and Highway 24 in southern Colorado.
#I25 northbound: High wind restriction between Exit 59 - Butte Road and Exit 132 - Mesa Ridge Parkway. Slower speeds advised. Vehicles that weigh, or have less than 10,000 lbs of cargo weight, and are taller than 13 feet 6 inches may be stopped.” https://t.co/y2StmvGVMT

The high wind restriction on I-25 extends from the Butte Rd. exit - north of Walsenburg - to the Mesa Ridge Pkwy. exit in the Fountain area. The Hwy. 24 restrictions extend from I-25 in Colorado Springs to the Ramah city limits. On Hwy. 94, the restrictions reach from County Rd. 2Beast of Rush - to Marksheffel Rd. near the Colorado Springs Airport.

These high wind restrictions are in effect for all high-profile vehicles or vehicles with light trailers. CDOT noted that vehicles that weigh or have less than 10,000 pounds of cargo weight, and are taller than 13 ft. 6 in. may be stopped.
