Dr. Seuss Experience opening in Denver

DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) -- It's an experience to remember, a new exhibit featuring beloved literary characters is opening in Denver. Through The Dr. Seuss Experiences, people can become part of iconic childhood stories.

The immersive 25,000 square foot space invites visitors of all ages to enter the worlds of nine Dr. Seuss books and interact with the characters inhabiting those stories.

Get face to face with the Grinch, say hi to Horton, listen to the creature that speaks for the trees, and much, much more.

"To see a kid walk in for the first time and see the 'Oh the Places You’ll go' balloon maze, which is the first thing you see when you walk in, words can’t describe. Their eyes light up and even the parents get a little glimmer in their eye with something they grew up with too it’s so cool," said Spenser Prelletz, the VP of operations.

The experience not only brings characters to life but is meant to teach a lesson along the way.

"You know every story here has a lesson, whether it’s a little more humorous or something they can take with them the rest of their lives. They can learn these lessons in a way that they never could before and sometimes by playing you learn so much more than just reading it on a piece of paper," said Prelletz.

The Dr. Seus Experience opens its doors on Friday, March 25, and runs through Labor Day. Ticket information can be found on their website.
