People in the area were asked to leave immediately and others were asked to avoid the area.
At 2:31 p.m., CSFD said the gas leak had been shut off and the mall is all clear. The evacuation order has been lifted.
CSFD told KRDO the gas pipe on top of the mall broke from the high winds. According to CSFD Shift Commander Tim De Leon, debris damaged and broke the pipe. Roughly 200 people evacuated.
While the evacuation order has been lifted, mall security told all businesses to stay closed.
