Man arrested in Garden of the Gods for shooting rocks

There were some tense moments Monday morning at Garden of the Gods.

Police said they responded to a call about gunshots in the park shortly after 2:30 a.m. but didn’t find anything at that time.

A short time later, police received more calls about gunfire in the area.

Police tell KRDO Newschannel 13 they were very cautious until they knew exactly what they were dealing with.

They soon found a man, who was drunk, firing a gun at rocks.

Police said the man fired about 150 rounds.

Officers said they were nearly hit by several bullets that ricocheted off the rocks.

the man has been identified as Brandon Bougades.

Bougades was arrested.

No one was hurt.
