One killed, two hurt in Pueblo crash

One person was killed and two were hurt in a one-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Pueblo at the intersection of Goodnight Avenue and Cleveland Street.

Pueblo Police tell KRDO.COM and NewsChannel13 an SUV lost control and drove into Dittmer park and ran head-on into a tree.

Jacqueline Solano, 20, who was sitting in the front seat, was thrown through the windshield and was killed in the crash.

Christy Arellano, 19, who was a passenger in the back seat of the SUV, was critically hurt.

The driver, Gabriel Archuleta, 20, was seriously hurt.

Police say none of the occupants in the SUV were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Police say alcohol and speed are suspected as factors in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation and charges are pending.
