Judge rules evidence sufficient for Colorado shooting suspect to face trial on all counts
A judge ruled Thursday that there is enough evidence for the Colorado shooting suspect to face trial on all counts.
James Holmes will be arraigned on more than 160 felony charges and required to enter a plea.
But Holmes’ attorneys filed papers Thursday afternoon saying he was not ready to be arraigned. They asked Judge William Sylvester to consider the hearing as only a routine pretrial hearing.
The defense lawyers did not explain why they wanted the delay.
A preliminary hearing to establish whether Holmes should stand trial for the attack ended Wednesday.
