CC scores 3 Unanswered to Force 4-4 Tie Against Gophers

Alexander Krushelnyski had two goals and an assist in the third period as Colorado College rallied from a three-goal deficit to earn a 4-4 tie with Minnesota on Saturday.

With the Tigers (8-8-2, 5-4-1) trailing 4-1, Krushelnyski scored twice in less than two minutes, including one short-handed goal. With 14 seconds left, he assisted on Rylan Schwartz’s tying goal.

Minnesota (11-3-2, 6-3-3) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association game before Schwartz answered for the Tigers early in the second. But Mike Reilly scored to give the Gophers a 4-1 lead heading into the third period.

Tom Serratore, Erik Haula and Seth Ambroz also scored for Minnesota, which got 23 saves from Adam Wilcox. Josh Thorimbert had 25 saves for the Tigers.
