Possible abandoned meth lab in Walmart parking lot

Authorities are investigating a possible abandoned meth lab in the parking lot of a Colorado Springs Walmart.

Colorado Springs Fire Department initially responded to the report of suspicious bottles and chemicals left in the parking lot of the Walmart at 3201 E. Platte Ave. The items were consistent with an abandoned meth lab and police were notified.

The Regional Explosives Unit was contacted and a joint investigation is underway with CSFD Hazmat and Metro VNI.

CSPD said if you find any suspicious bottles or packages do not approach them, call police.
