Sketch of sex assault suspect released

Police have released a composite sketch of a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in an office complex restroom.

On July 2nd, at approximately 8:30 am, a woman entered the women’s restroom at 2790 North Academy Blvd., an office complex adjacent to Palmer Park.

While in the restroom, the female was grabbed by an unidentified man. As the suspect held the victim with one hand, she observed him committing a sex act on himself. She was able to escape the restroom after screaming for help.

According to the victim, the suspect was a white male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 6` to 6`2″ tall with a thin build, “scraggly curly” medium length light blond hair and wearing red shorts. An important feature that may help identify the suspect is that he had “meth marks” or acne on his face.

He was seen fleeing in a stolen White 2007 Hyundai Sonata, four door vehicle displaying Colorado license plate number 865TOA. The vehicle was stolen from an address in Colorado Springs earlier that same morning.

Attached to this article is a composite drawing of the suspect as he was described by witnesses at the crime scene.

Please notify the Colorado Springs Police Department immediately at 444-7000 if the individual or vehicle is seen, or if anyone knows the identity of the male.
