Fire restrictions revised across Southern Colo.

Fire ban and restrictions have been lifted and revised in Colorado Springs, El Paso and Pueblo County.

According to the Colorado Springs fire marshal, Brett Lacey, residents are now allowed to use propane and charcoal in Colorado Springs.

“What we’re doing is allowing those more responsible people to have some more freedom to enjoy their backyards, have some fireplaces, make sure that they’re able to grill if they choose to at some of the city parks that have established grates and pits. They can’t do portable grills other than propane,” said Lacey.

Open burning and fireworks are still banned in Colorado Springs.
