Pueblo Tennis Coach Under Investigation
Pueblo School District 60 leaders have placed a longtime tennis coach on unpaid administrative leave, pending an investigation.
Guy Cruz has not been charged with anything but will sit out of practice and be barred from school until the probe is over. The school district called the move a personnel matter and would not provide details of what he’s being accused of.
Meanwhile, his supporters rallied behind the Central High School coach Thursday following the announcement. They said they trust the 15-year coach and don’t believe he’s capable of any criminal wrongdoing. They feel Cruz will be cleared by the investigation and return to the tennis court because they “know him and trust him.”
