Car Crashes Into House Near Jet Wing And Astrozon

Colorado Springs fire crews are responding to an accident at Jet Wing and Astrozon where a car crashed into a house.

A 17-year-old boy was initially trapped in the car but heavy rescue units worked to extricate him. Our crew on scene says the boy was unconscious and taken into an ambulance. The extent of his injuries are unknown.

Two lanes of northbound Jet Wing are closed in the area. Traffic is getting through in the center lane, but there are delays. Police say they expect the road will be closed for at least another half hour.

Police say the boy may be cited for reckless drive.

Colorado Springs Utilities is also on scene, working to repair the home’s gas meter.
