A school resource officer found Cummins after the fight and found he was carrying brass knuckles and a knife. Police said that Cummins told them that he did have a gun in his car, which was parked on school property. Cummins doesn’t have an extensive criminal background in Colorado. His only arrest happened in February 2010. He was charged with careless driving and driving without proof of insurance. He pleaded guilty to the careless driving charge and the El Paso County District Attorney dropped the charges of driving without proof of insurance.

TARGET 13 has attempted to contact family members of Cummins, to get his side of the story, but they said, “no comment.”
