Colo Springs DMV Burglarized

El Paso County Clerk & Recorder’s Union Town Center Motor Vehicle Office was vandalized and burglarized.

It happened early Sunday morning.

A glass window was smashed by an individual who then went in and took an undisclosed amount of cash. 3

The county is working with the Colorado Springs Police Department to find the person responsible. The man was wearing a mask.

County officials said any cash left in the DMV after hours is kept in a secure location, so how the criminal knew where the money was, is still a question.

If you have any information contact the Colorado Springs Police Department at 444-7000.

No personal information was removed from the premises.
