Flash Flood Watch Through 3am
Monsoon moisture streaming into Colorado from the southwest and low level moistureincreasing behind a cold front has caused thunderstorms to develop mostly over the mountains and Front Range as of mid-afternoon. Into the evening, abundant low level moisture will get pushed up against the mountains on an easterly wind. This combination will cause widespread thunderstorms over the easternmost mountains and along the Interstate-25 possibly lasting into Wednesday morning. Wind speeds that will be steering the storms will only be about 5mph so the storms will tend to stay over the same area for an extend period of time. Very heavy amounts of rain could cause flooding of roadways, drainage ditches and local creeks and streams.
