Travel Alert: Drivers experience snow-packed roads Monday morning
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Drivers experienced snow-packed roads and slick conditions Monday morning.
In the early morning hours, it was hard to see where the lanes were.
At one point, drivers were unable to get up the hill on eastbound Austin Bluffs Pkwy. at Nevada due to the slick conditions.
Just before the 6 a.m. hour, KRDO was told that there was a jackknifed semi northbound on Circle just past Airport Rd.
CDOT and City plows were out in full force.
Motorists should never pass a snow plow. Plows travel at about 35 mph.
The City of Colorado Springs was placed on accident alert status Sunday evening and that continued into Monday morning.
