Colorado Springs police find heroin, other drugs worth over $100K during bust
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Two people are facing charges after a drug bust by Colorado Springs police earlier this month that netted over $100,000 worth of narcotics.
According to the Colorado Springs police blotter, investigators with the Metro Vice, Narcotics and Intelligence Division and the CSPD Gang Unit had been looking into a drug distribution ring for several months at an area near 1900 S. Chelton Road.
On Oct. 10, police conducted a raid and found 3.42 pounds of heroin, 170 grams of methamphetamine, along with mushrooms, LSD, MDMA, and suspected counterfeit fentanyl pills.
Investigators also found a little over $8,200 in cash along with three handguns.
Police say more people are expected to be arrested, and they haven't released the names of the two people already booked into custody.
