Family still searching for justice one decade since Colorado Springs man was murdered
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - A Colorado Springs family held a vigil Sunday night in honor of their loved one, who's murder ten years ago has gone unsolved.
Family members of Stephan Wilson, who was allegedly murdered inside his condo on Delmonico Drive October 1, 2010, gathered at Memorial Park around sunset to remember his genuine, kind soul.
"Even though he was 6'7" he was still my baby," Stephan's mom, Leslie Smith told us. "He had a heart of gold. His heart could barely fit into his chest. He was just a loving, loving guy."
Stephan's sister, Michelle, said they're still trying to piece together the puzzle, to put the person responsible for his death behind bars. But with such little knowledge of what happened the day he was killed, they haven't gotten far.
"We know that he was there, he left for a little bit, came back, there was music playing," Michelle told KRDO.
Michelle and Leslie both said police have received dozens of tips over the years -- but still no arrest.
"So if anybody knows anything, I'm just begging you to please come forward," said Leslie. "I mean, this could be your family."
