Car crashes into liquor store in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Pueblo police responded to a crash near Thatcher Ave. and Pueblo Blvd. around 1 a.m. Sunday.

A caller reported a car hit a building in the 4300 block of Thatcher Ave. and said the occupants were headed south on Pear St. on foot.

Police later caught up with the driver who told them she was trying to pull over to the side of the road when she hit the gas instead of the brakes.

Officers say the car went into a parking lot, over a concrete parking bumper and into another lot, into the building. Neither the driver or the passenger were injured.

The driver wasn't impaired according to police, but admitted she doesn't have a driver's license and isn’t an experienced driver.
