Free school drive on Saturday from 11 to 1 in Widefield

WIDEFIELD, Colo. (KRDO) -- A school drive in Security-Widefield on Saturday will provide children with free backpacks and hot dogs.

The Fountain Valley Salvation Army and REACH Pikes Peak is hosting a "Backpacks and HotDogs" drive-thru event at 208 Cunningham Drive. The event on Saturday goes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The nonprofits are only asking that the student is inside the vehicle when trying to claim a backpack filled with school supplies.
