EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- El Paso County deputies arrested a man Wednesday who was wanted for several warrants including felony eluding.

Around 11:15 p.m. on Monday, a lieutenant tried to do a traffic stop on Security Boulevard at Normal Drive. The sheriff's office said the suspect maroon Toyota Corolla did not stop. Deputies did not pursue the suspect because he was making erratic maneuvers at high speed in a neighborhood.

The suspect driving eventually pulled over on Everett Drive and ran away. He was wearing a white hat with a white tank top. Multiple deputies responded but did not locate the suspect.

Detectives interviewed the passenger of the eluding vehicle and identified the suspect as 37-year-old Kevin Michael Chester.

Chester was arrested Wednesday and has been booked into the El Paso County Jail. He had several felony warrants to include felony eluding.
