Suspect found in trash dumpster enclosure after knifepoint robbery in Pueblo

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A suspect is in custody after Pueblo Police say he robbed and assaulted someone at knifepoint Sunday morning.

Officers were dispatched just before 5 a.m. to the area of Northern Avenue and Moore Avenue. A caller said they had been robbed and assaulted at knifepoint, according to police.

Police searched the area and found the possible suspect in the trash dumpster enclosure behind a nearby business.

The suspect was taken into custody. This is still an active investigation.
