Gov. Jared Polis provides remote update on COVID-19 in Colorado

DENVER (KRDO) -- Gov. Jared Polis is answering questions from the media on COVID-19 in Colorado through a remote web conference.

The conference is being streamed. Watch below:

The governor's stay-at-home order is set to expire on Sunday, and the state will transition into a "safer at home" phase, with some businesses being allowed to reopen with restrictions.

As of Friday, 12,251 positive tests of coronavirus have been reported, with 669 deaths in Colorado. The governor noted that the large daily increase isn't a spike, but it's the culmination of a few weeks' worth of data that was made available.
