Tonight: The cold front that whipped up winds and rapidly dropped temperatures this afternoon in Colorado has now exited into New Mexico. With the frontal passage long gone, winds will die off and become calm overnight. The moisture associated with the front is lagging behind somewhat. Anticipate light rain changing over to freezing drizzle after midnight tonight along HWY 50 and the I-25 corridor.

Thursday: The biggest concerns for Thursday morning will be the potential for ice-covered roads and limited visibility due to freezing fog. Dewpoints to start the morning will be in the high 20's which is exactly where our temperatures will be so the atmosphere will be at saturation, hence fog. The supercooled water droplets of the fog will likely freeze onto surfaces. Gradually turning mostly sunny during the afternoon with temperatures near January averages, in the high 30's in El Paso County.
