European circus travels through Pueblo during first American tour

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) - The Finnish circus, "Circus Golden Star," is finishing up its trip down I-25 this weekend with a showing in Pueblo during its first American Tour.

The circus's slogan is "Where European elegance meets American charm." The performers incorporate lots of live music in their acts, along with Eurpoean/style jugglers, acrobats and aeralists, and the traditional high-risk acts.

Finnish director Samir Lindfors started the circus in 2015 when he was just 19. He was the youngest circus director in the world at the time.

"I was 2 years old when I found my grandfather's suitcase. He was an incredible juggler, and that's the story of how Everything started, and now we're here," Lindfors said. "I was a performer. I had my own magic show 7 years before I started circus. So, it's a long journey, and this is my dream to have another show in America."

The circus is in town Thursday through Sunday. You can find tickets here.
