How does your experience make you qualified to represent the people? 

I have 7 1/2+ years of experience as Clerk and Recorder, 4 1/2 years of experience working in the Assessor's Office, and 5 years of experience as a member of the Canon City Planning and Zoning Commission.  This provides me with over 17 years of experience in property records, research, elections, motor vehicles, and government procedures overall.  With this experience and knowledge, I am well prepared to tackle the Clerk and Recorder's Office and continue to serve the constituents of Fremont County for another term.  

What are your top policy priorities?  

On a daily basis, my focus is purely customer service focused.  I constantly work with my teams to reduce return visits, improve the quality of work, enhance my knowledge and that of my staff, and keep up with technology.  Overall, my priority is to maintain the office of the Clerk and Recorder in an ever-changing environment, maintain election security, transparency, and accountability, and to continue to have an open-door policy to those whom I serve.

What is one issue you think is being overlooked in this race, and how would you address it?

I think the biggest issue in Fremont County in my race is not that I don't have an opponent, but that the community trusts me, so no one wants to run against me.  I value the one-on-one conversations with my constituents, my ability to help one-on-one, and the one-on-one relationships I have built to better the office and the community.
