Southern Colorado drivers experience low visibility, snow during Monday morning commute

Hwy 24 and Woodmen Rd. Monday morning

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Drivers experienced snow-packed roads and low visibility Monday morning.

The fog was a cause for concern in the early morning hours.

Foggy conditions were especially bad in northern El Paso County and out east around the Peyton/Falcon area.

The other big story on the roads was the Highway 50 closure in Pueblo.

Hwy 50 was closed in both directions between Club Manor Drive and Elizabeth Street (just west of I-25) due to police activity following a deadly officer-involved shooting.
