Fort Carson crews battle 5,000-7,000 acre fire sparked by training exercise

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Fort Carson has confirmed that crews are working to contain a 5,000-7,000-acre fire that began on Nov. 5.

Officials say the fire began from a training exercise and has spread due to a combination of warm temperatures and wind.

Fort Carson confirms there are currently no injuries or damage reported, and firefighters are working to contain the fire.
