Cooler, comfortable end to the weekend
Tonight: In the wake of a cold front that moved through earlier today, conditions will remain cool bottom out in the mid-40s, but still above average for early/mid October standards
Sunday: That same cold front will knock our highs back out of the 80s and into the 70s for both Colorado Springs and Pueblo, still quite pleasant. Do expect breezy conditions to develop late morning/early afternoon as exposed areas will certainly feel a brisk southeasterly breeze, with occasional gusts exceeding 20 mph.
Monday through Thursday: Colorado will remain just outside of the influence of an upper-level low that drops south from the Great Basin into the desert southwest. The pattern will remain fairly stagnant until late in the week with high temperatures well above average with temperatures in the 70s and 80s.
Friday and Saturday: Our next cold front looks to come roaring through on Friday with our high temperatures occurring during the 1st half of the day. Temperatures will then nose dive with an opportunity for some moisture to move in overnight. It will be cold enough for anything that falls to come as snow, which means this storm could bring the opportunity for our first snow of the season. This is not a guarantee, but the finer details will get worked out as we get closer. Regardless, be ready for a significant cool down with highs only rebounding into the 50s for Saturday.
