Pueblo grassfire under control, evacuation orders lifted in Belmont neighborhood
Evacuation orders for the 1800-2100 block of Mohawk Road in Pueblo have been lifted after multiple fire agencies worked to get a grassfire under control.
Fire officials say the blaze is at 70% containment as of 5 p.m. after several homes near the fire were evacuated Sunday afternoon.

The Pueblo Fire Department has clarified that no houses were involved in this fire; crews received an earlier report of a home on fire which was later determined to be false.
The fire began at approximately 2:20 pm. and is at 70% containment as of 5 p.m. and under control. Multiple agencies responded to the blaze that consumed about 6 acres in the Belmont neighborhood, according to a PFD official.
Fire update: wildfire is over 70% contained and is under control. No structures burned. Evacuation is expected to be lifted at 5:45 for residents. Do not drive over fire hoses! #pueblofire

Pueblo fire crews are responding to a blaze along Fountain Creek across from the Target that is prompting evacuations.
