Hot & Dry Conditions Continue…Tracking Monsoon moisture next week

Much of the same over the next few days, but we are tracking some relief as we head into next week.

We experienced another hot day here across central Colorado with dry and hazy conditions. As we head into the late afternoon and evening hours we may see a stray shower or thunderstorm in our mountain communities but those look to be few and far in between. Unfortunately it's going to be some time before we have a shot at some meaningful relief from the dry conditions that have plagued our region.

As we head into the rest of the week plan on temperatures to continue to climb into the upper 80s to mid 90s with more dry conditions. Along with the dry conditions we'll see some breezy conditions that will hinder fire fighting operations down to the south.

The good news is that there is some relief in sight. As we head into early next week we'll start tapping into some monsoonal moisture that will increase our chances for rain. While those rains won't pull us out of our deficit for precipitation any bit will certainly help. Temperatures will ease as well with high temperatures more closer to average for this time of the year.
