Tonight: Isolated showers and thunderstorms possible across the I-25 corridor with the potential for brief but heavy rainfall and strong winds. Rain chances diminish after 8pm with the storms fizzling out before reaching east of Otero County. Turning mostly clear overnight with a low temperature of 59 degrees in Colorado Springs.
Sunday: Mostly sunny skies to start the morning, in turn, helping temperatures warm into the low 90’s for El Paso County and HWY 50 locations nearing 100. Increasing cloud coverage by early afternoon with the chance for a few isolated mountain showers to spread to I-25 after 2pm. Overall severity and coverage of these rain showers will be incredibly low, so anticipate the vast majority of SE Colorado to remain dry through the afternoon.
Extended: Beautiful Labor Day forecast as temperatures continue to warm near-record high’s for Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Plentiful sunshine throughout the day with minimal rain chances for valley locations. Mountain afternoon showers possible in the Sangre de Cristo’s.
