One dead in crash on Hwy 115 south of Colorado Springs
One person is dead following a serious crash on Hwy 115 in Fremont County.
Colorado State Patrol tells KRDO Newschannel 13 that the crash happened Friday morning between County Road F45 and Barrett Rd. Troopers also say two others have been hurt in this crash.
CSP said a Chevrolet Suburban was driving north and crossed into the southbound lanes when it hit a Toyota Tundra head-on.
The driver of the suburban was the victim who died. That person’s identity hasn’t been released yet.
The driver of the Tundra was identified as 62-year-old Kelly Oglesby of Penrose. Oglesby was taken to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs along with his passenger.
Oglesby and his passenger were both wearing their seat belts. It’s not yet clear if the driver of the Suburban was wearing a seat belt.
CSP says alcohol and speed aren’t being considered factors in the crash at this time.
