07/27/19 Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Strong to severe thunderstorms still affecting Pueblo County. The biggest concerns are significant rainfall and strong wind gusts. Small hail and frequent lightning are also occurring. Thunderstorms will continue to move east through the remainder of the evening, but struggle to reach east of Bent County. Colorado Springs will see a few showers and weak thunderstorms through early evening then turn partly cloudy with a low temperature of 59 degrees.

Sunday: Mostly sunny skies through the majority of the day. Isolated showers and thunderstorms across HWY 50 are possible, but the overall coverage and severity of the storms will be low compared to what we experienced today.

Extended: Scattered thunderstorms are likely for Monday afternoon as we enter into a nice little warming trend through mid-week, temperatures back into the high 80’s and 90’s. Tuesday isolated afternoon showers are possible, but the vast majority of Central and Eastern Colorado will stay dry.
