Monsoon moisture keeps us stormy – 7/24/19

TODAY: Sunshine will be in full swing through the first part of the afternoon. High temperatures warm to the 80s and 90s with 70s in most of our mountain cities. A stray mountain shower or storm is possible around 2PM and after, with the chance that a few could spill over to the I-25 corridor. The best chance for storms along I-25 will be through the evening drive and through about 9PM.

TONIGHT: One or two showers or storms looks likely between 9PM and midnight before we dry things out. More cloud cover tonight will keep our temperatures mild in the 50s and 60s.

EXTENDED: Widespread rain and storms thanks to monsoon moisture is what you can expect for Thursday. In fact, most of the day looks pretty soggy with some areas picking up over 1″ of rain accumulation by nighttime. Less rain and storms are expected for Friday (if any at all) with highs remaining in the 80s and 90s.
