Air Force Academy grads celebrate with family
Air Force academy cadets celebrated with their families Thursday as the class of 2019 was dismissed, after a commencement speech by President Donald Trump.
For the 19-thousand onlookers, this was a big moment.
“I’m just proud of him,” said Rodney Collins Jr. while talking about his little brother. “I just never thought he would be doing something like this and it’s amazing to see him do it.”
Cadet David Collins was also greeted by his former high school track coach, who came to commemorate the moment.
Along with family and friends of the graduates, many people came just to watch the Thunderbirds and hear the President speak.
“Congratulations! They’ve earned it and I hope to one day be in their shoes,” one high school freshman told us.
